The Festival is a month-long celebration of architecture and city-making, taking place throughout June, across London. With activity happening across the city, the Festival will be a platform for conversation, testing new ideas, promoting emerging talent, and helping shift us towards a more equitable, sustainable city. All Festival activity for 2026 will focus on the theme of ‘Belonging’.
LFA Neighbourhoods sit at the heart of the Festival. These programmes of activity are place-specific and unfold across June, celebrating the people, places and projects in the unique neighbourhoods of our city.
South Ken Culture Quarter is a thriving hub of scientific, artistic, and academic excellence – a neighbourhood where the arts and sciences converge as a powerful source of inspiration. As the world’s first planned cultural quarter, it is home to some of the world’s most renowned institutions, including V&A South Kensington and the Natural History Museum. This diverse cultural landscape extends to High Street Ken – a bustling commercial hub, once home to BIBA and now to Japan House London and the Design Museum - continuing the area’s legacy of creativity, design and innovation.
This unique combination serves as an inspirational meeting point for the arts, design, and sciences, playing host to historic architecture, green spaces, and numerous cultural offerings, as well as the diverse local neighbourhood community of businesses, galleries, and residents who call it home.
Collaboration sits at the heart of South Kensington, exemplified by initiatives such as our annual Great Exhibition Road Festival on 6th & 7th June, bringing members from across the collective together to celebrate arts and science.
